Gertrude Sloey Obituary

Sloey, Gertrude "Trudie" Of Waukesha, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thurs., Feb. 10, 2011, at the age of 88. Trudie was the loving mother of, Kathleen (Robert) Townsend of Ft. Atkinson, Karen (Philip Lund) Sloey of Golden Valley, MN and Thomas Sloey of Wales. Loving and caring grandmother of, Alison, Whitney and Heather Townsend, Erik, Arianna and Cassandra Lund, Andrew and Elise Sloey. Cherished sister of, Donald (Patricia) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Helen Jean (Edward) LeRoy of Albany, Oregon and Lu (Donald) Miller of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Trudie is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Ruth Wegener; and brothers, Roland and Robert Wegener. The funeral service for Trudie will be held on Sun., Feb. 13, at 5PM, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Kathy Boadwine will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 3PM until the time of the 5PM service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church (see address above).
