After attending St. Francis Seminary, he received his degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Masters in Social Services Administration from Case Western University. During that time, he received many awards and distinctions, including a National Red Cross Award for Operation Orange Ribbon, working with families affected by Desert Storm. He was a member of the Holy Hill Knights of Columbus and led the back row of the 10:30 a.m. choir at St. Charles Catholic Church for many years. In recent years, he enjoyed going to the races. Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy, daughter Laura Monagle, son Brad, son-in-law Bob Monagle, and the joys of his life - his grandchildren Sophie, Jack, Leslie and Ross Monagle and Connor Neuser. Also surviving are his brothers Frank and Chris Neuser, sisters Charlyn Tschida and Susan Gilmore, and sisters and brothers-in-law Kathleen Neuser, Tom Gilmore, Fran Tschida, Sue and Pat Zur, Sharyn and Bruce Furrier, Jim Heili and his wife Barb, Peter Heili, Steven Heili and his partner Bernie. He is furthered survived by 16 nieces and nephews, and true and devoted friends that have always been like family. There will be a visitation on Saturday, January 22, at 9:30 AM followed by a mass at 11:30 AM and fellowship at St. Charles Parish, 313 Circle Dr., Hartland. Burial will take place at Holy Hill Cemetery immediately following the fellowship. My name is Father Paul Demuth, pastor at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Green Bay. I am also from Manitowoc and knew Larry well at Sacred Heart Seminary and for a number of years we continued to keep in contact. I was sorry to hear of Larry's death, but I know that his faith was great in the resurrection of the Lord. May he rest in peace and may you the family have consolation during this time of loss. God bless you.

Dear Nancy, Laura, Brad and Family,

God Bless you and your family. I feel a great loss as well, since many times, I shared the back row of the choir with him!

My children have many fond memories of St. Charles Choir, Larry singing, Nancy directing, and Laura with her solos. We appreciate how you made our family part of yours when you had the summer choir party at your home.

Larry had a way of communicating with the young. He was always supportive of my children and their dreams. He was also supportive of mine.

I was able to share my ups and downs with Larry. He always had a caring ear. I had a chance to hear his well wishes on Sunday, 1/16/11.

Now, my wish for you, is that you find peace in your hearts. I will hold Larry in mine. My children and I send our thoughts, prayers, and love.

Sincerely,

Susan

My name is Linda Moren, I live in Florida, now. I worked at Southeastern Wi Med & SS, for 19 yrs, from April 1978-April 1997, but when I worked their I was Called Linda Jankowski, & then Linda Vogt., I worked in the billing dept. I worked with Larry for many years & have very fond memories. I even remeber a Sunday golf outing that the staff surprised both Larrty & Ralph Cavaiani, his partner, with a comedy roast. The staff was really like family, & Larry helped to keep that family feeling. I still maintain contact with many of the people I worked with, that's how I found out about Larry. This is a sad time, I know what it's like because my previous husband, Phil, died unexpectedly. You will be in my thoughts, even thought I'm 1200 miles away...God Bless, Linda

Dear Nancy, Laura, and Brad,
It was with great sadness that I learned of Larry's passing. He was a wonderful man, great mentor and excellent clinician. I learned a great deal from him about managing people when I worked for him at Southeastern and later partnered with him at CNR. The mental health community has lost an advocate and a friend. Hoping that your memories give you comfort and joy.
Warmly,
Barbara Bartlein
