Eric was such a nice guy. I'm so sad to hear that he's gone. We we're in Hillel Academy when we were younger. And then we got to reconnect at UWM a few summers ago. I'm glad that we did. I'm a better person because of it. We'll miss you, Eric.

The families of so many UWM students are grieving with you in our hearts today. Our Ben was a classmate of Erik's in many Architecture classes and he is mourning, as we are, this terrible loss of a beautiful young man who was a wonderful friend to many. I will be praying today that you be surrounded always by loving friends and family who can bring some measure of comfort and peace in this time of pain and loss.

It was a joy to have Erik in class at Hillel Academy. He was a great student with a delightful sense of humor. My heart and prayer are with the family on their tragic losses in just two years.

I had the pleasure of teaching Erik twice at UWM, most recently this past semester. He was a very talented designer, and more importantly a great guy. He will truly be remembered by many.

Erik was one of the most amazing people in the world. He was so optimistic and so dependable. If you needed help moving, he was the first volunteer. If someone was short a couple bucks, he was that person to lend it. Just the little things made Erik one of the most spectacular people to grace our presence. Those who had the opportunity to know him were more than blessed. He will be so very much missed.
