Well Pink, and family - I too came across this amazing, heartfelt and witty obituary while searching "how to write a great obituary" and this has to be one of the best ever written. I hope I can come up with something half as good. I too wish I'd had the opportunity to cross paths with you, but because your family brought you so vividly back to life in this stunning picture of you, I feel like I know you! God hold you and keep you and your family!

This is my Aunt Pink who got her name from her Mom (my Grandma) who, when she first laid eyes on her at the hospital exclaimed "look at my beautiful pink baby!" There was ten children in the family, not including a neighbor´s son, who Grandma Rogers took in after his mother died and the Dad needed to work. Pink´s sisters included Aunt Sis (Margaret), Aunt "Pretty Anne", (she jokingly made us all call her that", along with Aunt Helen (Pretty Anne tried to get us to call her Aunt "Homely Helen"). LOL! They were best friends their entire lives. There´s so many stories! I have many siblings and cousins who, as the saying goes, "the apple doesn´t fall far from the tree".

What an inspiration Pink brought to my day! Upon feeling under the weather, I decided to browse the internet and stumbled upon the obituary. I wish Pink was my relative, friend or neighbor. I know no one is perfect but being positive, generous and understanding goes a very long way. I'm TEAM PINK all the way. May your family be blessed with the wonderful memories you obviously created daily. Ironically all who knows me, knows my favorite color is PINK!!

Jerry and Peter! Your mom's obit is listed in an article about how to write one. Since I've been editing my obit after a teensy heart incident, I read these articles! When the news of your mom's passing first appeared, two friends from other parts of the country had seen it and sent it to me because of the Milwaukee connection. They were surprised to learn I'd met Pink. You can add to her great qualities was that she was always concerned that you "boys" were eating right!
Love seeing you're married and have families!

I got an email that I think was meant for someone else with a link here. I have never met this lady but I just brought my 86 year old grandmother home from the hospital yesterday so that she could be with her son who is in the last stages of pancreatic cancer. Needless to say, I needed an angel. Thank you for sending one to a small town in New Mexico

She raised her children up right and they are raising their children right, and this will go on and on, what a legacy Mary leaves behind, the world is a much better place because she was in it and brought forth generation after generation of well brought up kids. She was always doing God's work, what a Saint, she will be greatly missed and greatly remembered.

Dear Mullaney Family,
I didn't know Pink and I don't know any of you but I am so inspired by Pink's story. My Mom died on 12/6/13 and I think that she and Pink must be twins separated at birth. They even both did the Jumble every morning! I am so sorry for your loss but I am so thrilled that Mom has a twin up in heaven to say the rosary with. My Mom was pretty good with possums too. :) I hope you are doing well. I know (from reading about Pink) that you have wonderful memories. I hope that brings you peace.

Pink is indeed a wonderful person, I wish I had met her. My own wonderful person died much too young, at the age of 62 years young. My mother never met a person she couldn't find good in, She used to say "There's a little bit of good in the worse of us and a little bit of bad in the best of us. My momma looked for the best and always found it. She had 6 children after the age of 35 and raised them all. She instilled in all a conscience, both by her teaching and her actions. She always said you have to teach small children about God who then becomes their conscience and reminds them of right and wrong when they need it. I am 70 and even today her gentle teachings guide me. She was the best cook in the world and people would come for miles for her lemon meringue pie. She loved people and her family dearly and grieved when they grieved, and laughed when they laughed. She went around singing all the time, even though she had crippling arthritis, diabetes and heart problems, She never, ever complained and worked tirelessly from dawn to dusk for her family. There is no way I can express how much she meant to us and others, evidently the same as this marvelous lady Pink. God bless them and I'm sure they have become friends in heaven above. Thank you Pink for your beautiful life.

What heart warming obituary. It brought smiles to my face and things to think about. Isn't it nice that by writing her obituary you helped her to continue her life's lessons after she has left this earth and joined Our Blessed Mother and Jesus, Our Lord. I am so happy to have come across this on the 11th Anniversary of my own Mother Mary's passing. I am sure they have met by now and are smiling down on us. Thank you for sharing. She was a beautiful woman as was my mom. May your faith in God help you through this sorrowful time. Know that she is there with you all in Spirit; it's wonderful as she is always there when you need her. Godspeed

After reading many of the messages that have been left. I noticed that the majority of them are from people that she touched but never meet. I am glad someone sent this to me so she could touch my life.
