Amy, My father Fred Kummerfeldt, Kathy's brother-in-law, just passed a week ago. My sister Susan just found this notice of Aunt Kathy's passing. I am so sorry to hear she is also gone. We last visited your Mom at her place in Milwaukee in 2012. We had a wonderful time visiting with her and remembering Michael. My Mom, who died in 2010, was very close to Michael. I remember also staying at your house and seeing his primitive antiques. We still own an old wooden sink that he gave both Veronica and me back when we were married in 1985. Please call me at 714-299-4593. Steve Kummerfeldt

Kathie saw there was a critical community need to provide shelter and respite for abused women and children, and in her true caring spirit, she responded. My condolences to her family and friends.

My wife Pat and I knew Michael and Kathy when I was Rector at Trinity, Wauwatosa. Our hearts go out to Andrew and Amy. What warm memories we share of our time together. Surely Kathy will hear those beloved words of welcome, "Well done, good and faithful servant." May she rest in Peace.
