Shelley Savikko Obituary
Washington. Shelley is survived by her husband Rick Savikko of Juneau; Alaska; sons Christopher (Jennifer) Arwood and Daniel (Maggie) Arwood; grandchildren Dakota Jade Arwood and Christopher Scott Arwood; father Marvin Martin; mother Jerry Martin and husband Cecil; siblings Teresa Coskie, Jeff (Meg) Martin, Steve (Robin) Martin, and Penny (Scot) Timboe; and much-loved nieces and nephews.
Shelley was born March 27, 1962 in Spokane, Washington and grew up throughout the West Coast. She lived in Juneau, Alaska for most of the last twenty years. Shelley was passionate about her family, and found great joy in her granddaughter Dakota, and newborn grandson whom she fondly called Peanut. She was an accountant for the State of Alaska, and had many friends through her work. She was an avid Seahawks fan and loved to travel with her husband Rick. They spent many days boating and fishing on Juneau waters. Anyone who was fortunate to know Shelley knew her as warm, fun, caring and humble.
Shelley did not wish for a funeral or memorial service, but rather for her family to gather and celebrate her life together. Her family suggests a donation towards lung cancer research, such as lungcancerfoundation.org.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Shelley on and off for almost 20 years and enjoyed every minute of it. She will certainly be missed by all her co-workers. Her strength, courage, good humor, and positive outlook were an example for all of us.

Shelley was an amazing person. She always had a smile on her face and had me smiling. She is greatly missed on earth but she shines on in Heaven. We were lucky to have Shelley. My condolences to her family and friends.
