How I loved my Bob. I worked for him at Jim Abouds (rip) smoke shop for years. He was the most understanding giving man I have ever known. He loved my daughter Hailee, and both of my sons. He made our lives beautiful. I will always love and miss you Bob. Thank you for being my friend. May you fly with the Angels.

I am sadden this Morning,of reading in the paper of the passing of Bobby. It has been awhile since Bobby and I had spoken. But there were many Good Yrs that we did speak often. He was a Caring and Wonderful Human Being, and will be Deeply Missed. I still am employed by the Rudd Family at Standard Beverage. Bobby and I spoke often of His time at Standard. With a Laugh and a lot of Smiles. Rest In Peace my FRIEND. Marty Hammer.

The Pizza Man....A former neighbor who brought us so much joy, especially the neighborhood children. If he was home and the ice cream truck drove by, Bob treated all the children to a cool treat!!
Thank you, Bob, for all the fun memories.

I played poker with Bobby several times in recent years, and am mentioning him on my poker blog. Indeed, I don't recall any cross words from his lips. May God comfort the family, and offer His hope for the future.

The Heavy Heart

The heart is always heavy. When it's heavy with love and joy, we don't notice or mind the weight. But when it's heavy with sadness and loss we can feel devastated and immobilized by that same weight.

The unfortunate passing of Bob Kallail is a reminder we don't have to bear that weight alone. This is a time for his family, friends and loved ones to remember and celebrate how Bob filled our hearts with beautiful weight.

The shock of his absence is, at once, overwhelming, surreal and impossible to comprehend. But through the mourning and grieving process, have faith Bob's strength and lasting impact on us all will ease the pain of the absence of his physical presence.

The shock of this moment can't be understated. But it doesn't define the totality of our experience of Bob. Yes, in this moment, our hearts are heavy with loss. The most eloquent words of sympathy are inadequate. There is no sense to be made when confronted by the loss of someone we love.

Still it's critical we gather to celebrate this man's life and comfort all who feel his absence. Collectively we will shift the feelings of our heavy hearts from emotional deficit to the infinite weight we thrive on. We remember the happy times and hold onto our fond memories of Bob Kallail.

Yes we have heavy hearts. But, with time and belief, we'll find our hearts are full and heavy with Bob's love...and we gladly carry that weight in our hearts forever.
