I had no idea you could still write on the guest book so long after someone passed. I love that people haven't forgot about my dad and still get on here and write stuff. I still miss him everyday it feels like it was just yesterday in so many ways. Thank to everyone who hasn't forgot!

I can't believe it's been a year since Allen has been gone. I actually called his shop number for awhile just to hear his voice on the answering machine. It made me cry the first few months I went to someone else to do my hair. I hope his kids are doing OK. You are all in my prayers. Terri

I was shocked and saddened to hear about the death of my friend Allen. Not only was he my friend, but also my barber for over 30 years. He was the most positive, upbeat giving person I have ever met. Always would greet you with a smile. I was blessed to have known him. My sincere condolences to his family for thier loss. We will all dearly miss him.

Allen was an Air Capital Cosmopolitan Club member for nine years and he always added levity to our Club events. Allen always enjoyed a spirited conversation no matter what the topic. He will be missed by all his brothers in the Club. Our deepest sympathy to all his family.

Allen cut my hair for 32 years, always did a great job. I looked forward to our visits. He was always in a good mood and had a joke or two to share. He and I shared our lives' joys and tribulations together and I considered him a good friend. I was shocked to see his obituary in the newspaper but pleased to see so many honoring him at his funeral. My deepest sympathy to Allen's family.

It was with great sadness when I heard of Allen's passing. From our early days in grade school right through high school, playing basketball and having fun with drama skits, funny times in Band, and then on to living together for a while after HS, I have alot of found and happy memories with Allen that I will never forget. He was always so much fun to be around and he would do anything for you. He was such a great friend to have. I'm sorry our distances over the past few years have kept us apart, but I will always remember the good times. Allen, until we meet meet again, may God grant you peace and eternal happiness in Heaven for ever and ever. You were a terrific friend that will be missed.

I was shocked and very saddened to hear of Allen's passing. Not only was I happy with the haircuts I have received from him over the last two years, but I very much enjoyed talking to him while I sat in the chair. I will really miss him as I am sure his family will too. He talked about you all a lot.

I think I sold Allen his first trials bike. I think that was in 1978 or there abouts. I guess the fun stuck because he stayed after it for a long time. And damn he was good! We had lots of fun over the years and I have many wonderful memories of times with Allen. He even cut my hair once in awhile back when I had hair and he always had good stories. I know I will miss him and so will many others. But he'll always live on in our memories. God speed Allen and God bless his family and friends.

Allen cut my hair for so many years. We grew to be good friends. He knew more about me than anyone, listening to my many life trials and tribulations for over 20 years. I will miss him. I was shocked to hear that Allen had died. During this sad time brought back many great memories of motorcycle rides and campout adventures along the Walnut river. Many years later I saw him at a Douglass celebration and it was not long before he had us all laughing with his great sense of humor and bright personality. I will miss not seeing him again in this life but look forward to catch up with him in the resurrection of life. My prayers are with your family.

Alan was always laughing. his glass was always half full. We enjoyed watching the ufc fights with him. I talked to him for about thirty minutes a few months back and will miss his hunor, and zest for life. He loved his kids most of all.

I was shocked and saddened beyond words as I learned of Allen's untimely death. He had cut my hair since I moved to Wichita 8 years ago. He was bright, witty, intelligent, and oh so affable. He and I enjoyed a special bond, as he always had some joke or other humor to share with me, as a Lutheran Minister. He and I had many long talks about the world; sometimes about very light heart-ed things, and sometimes about very important matters. He frequently gave me profound insights and always gave me a smile and a laugh. A good barber, a good friend, and a very thoughtful man. What a wonderful gentle man he was, and my heart is breaking for all of his family.
