I can barely see the keyboard as I type this....been weepy the past two hours. I only this morning learned of Jesse's passing more than a month ago! Elaine and Rob -- I am so, so sorry that I didn't know. I rarely read the KC Star anymore and am traveling constantly and.....But all that is no excuse. I lost two brothers who died at a young age so I know the grief of parents who watch their child pass away far too young. My heart and prayers go out to you, Emilie, Jon, David, Bethany --- all of your lovely children and extended family. -- David Chartrand

It's a month today that my bestfriend, passed away. It has been extreamly hard for my family and for everyone that knew him. I want to say thank you too everybody that has helped the Munyan family, and for the people that have been there for each other. It means a lot to me to see that people are always there for one another. Rob and Elaine Munyan are wonderful for helping everybody while trying to go threw it themselfs. My family is always there for the entire Munyan family and for anyone who needs to just talk. I love you Jesse, and your whole family.

Dear Rob, Elaine, and all of the Munyan family -
Our memories of Jesse as an exhausted and contented member of opening day pheasant hunters is a happy one. He pitched in wholeheartedly to help with every part of that Nebraska weekend. And with all the guys, fell fast asleep like sardines on the living room floor after dinner. We felt priviledged to have had that brief time with him. They are memories we will treasure.

Such sorrow to lose a child, a brother, a friend. Jesse will forever live on in our memories as a gentle soul with a mischievous grin. I remember how his face would light with joy over a cup of hot chocolate after a cold night of Christmas caroling. Jesse was a great friend to the Doty family. His beautiful smile and wonderful personality will be missed. Jesse was a very polite and curtious young man, who was always the first to lend a helping hand and give what ever he could to help his friends. Jesse was and is a very special soul.
