VIRGINIA ANN HANEY

Virginia Ann Haney, 72, passed away peacefully January 3, 2011, at Benchmark Healthcare of Raytown, MO. She will be missed dearly by family and friends and we celebrate with comfort and joy that she is dancing with angels in Heaven. She was born December 10, 1938, in San Diego, CA, and had 5 siblings. She and her twin brother Virgil were adopted by Florence Kemmerly, both of whom have also passed away. Her main occupations were nursing and waitressing which she loved doing in service of others. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Mary and Matt Schlagel of Bonner Springs, KS; daughter Susan Brush of Olathe, KS; daughter and son-in-law Vanessa and Joe Miller of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren Jason Cornett of Bonner Springs, KS; Stephanie Ipina and Misty Fonseca of Texas; companion Grant Nelson of Kansas City, MO; sisters Carol Rhodes of Sugar Creek, MO and Marsh Daner of Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews. Cremation by Heartland Cremation and Burial Society of Raytown, MO. Memorial services will be Sunday, January 9, at Raytown Christian Church, 6108 Raytown Rd, Raytown, MO, with visitation at 1:30 p.m. and a service at 2:00 p.m. Donations can be made on Virginia's behalf to National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org/support or Hospice Care at www.hospicecareofkansas.com.
