Ok, Dr Siegel, you are finally going to get what you have been trying to get me to say for over 30yrs....call you by your first name.
Herb, I will miss you much. Since that first day in 1976 when I came to you in your Gladstone office, I have never been disappointed in your care and your good humor. Even when I moved to south KC area I would always drive to your office rather than find another dentist. We have shared many stories over the years of our kids, and I will miss those talks greatly. Lisa, your dad was one of a kind and will be missed. Thank you for sharing him with me and everyone he ever met.

Herbert was yes a skilled dentist and did an excellent job on some fairly challenging dental issues, commencing on a late Friday afternoon, as he was shutting down the office...I caught hm purely by chance and after an exlantaion, he INSISTED that I cme out right then.
And so began a relationship which would span about four years, these being replete with his witicisms, anecdotes, and genuine caring about others--our families...; his horse stories; stories from Colorado...Herbert was instant to go the extra mile for anyone who the Lord put in his path.
He was unique in all respects ...I consider it a genine blessing to have known him both professinally and as a friend.
"Surely goodness and mercy chall follow me al the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever..." (Psalm 23).
Till we meet again my brother--Shalom for all eternity...

Sorry to hear about the loss of Dr.Seigel, he was my uncles dentist for many years before his passing 9 years ago. My uncle was a Quadraplegic ,Dr. Seigel was the only dentist we found that was willing to accomadate my uncles dental needs ,he never seemed to mind moving that big ole heavy dental chair. He was a very kind, funny man, that always seemed happy .

I was not a patient of Dr Siegel, but did meet him a few times thru one of his patients. He always extended the same kindness humor and wit regardless. He was not just a doctor but a true friend to his patients as I witnessed that with my friend! He was a Jewel of a man & will greatly be missed by family, friends, community, but most of all by a world that had not yet had a chance to meet him !

Hey, Herb. I'll miss our attempts at being serious and intellectual. I'll miss that corny sense of humor and excellent dental work. After 36 years and traveling from Gladstone to Stillwell, it was all worth it. Rest in piece, buddy. I'll miss you.

Just too hard to believe. Herb enjoyed so many things, the outdoors, sailing, being active, and his numerous friends. Thoughts, prayers, sympathy to his family and friends.

I am without words over the loss of my friend and dentist Dr. Herbert Siegel. I traveled from Bllue Springs to Stillwell for his dental service. Dir Siegel was kind and compassionate. I was just there a week ago and he talked of his love of being a dentist, and the love of flying. My heart is heavy and sad with his loss.

Herb was a humorous guy , he always made me feel welcome in his home with some kind of witty banter. One of the first times I rode with Herb , he and his friend Bev came over to ride at my house. He had told me , 'You just have to see my horses trick , you just won't believe it!' So when he gets there , I am all over him , where' s this trick? By this time Bev is chiming in , it's great you are going to love this! Herb pulls this horse out of the trailer, the size of an elephant. He saddles the sucker and says, Step 1, he lines the horse near the fender of the trailer. Says, Step 2, then side pass's the horse up to the fender. Step 3, theatrically holds the rein and walks up the side of the trailer like a stair case. Step 4, climbs up on this big --- horse, with his arm in the air and says, TA-TA !!! I laughed my sides off. We had a wonderful ride that evening. I watched the sun go down as he and Bev pulled away and thought , WHAT A SHOW ! Happy Trails Herb
, you will be sorely missed by me ...

Cousin he was called Herbert Siegel was my cousin we had a great relationship and enjoyed talking and spending time together.Cousin was a man that trusted me and when he had a problem he would ask me what to do but don't tell my Father.I will truly miss him and was blessed for the time we shared.Cousin was a man that believed in people and believed in equal rights. he saw the best in people and worked to right the wrong. His life was short and the things that determine our lives happens in seconds and we are not in control of.Cousin was a simple man and with cousin I could be myself.Three weeks ago he and I spoke and he said he wanted to visit me in mid April after he spoke with his Doctor and his last words to me was "cousin I don't have long to go.I feel like I lost part of my body and will love you the rest of my life.
