Joshua Wilkens Obituary

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Ark. – Mr. Joshua Daniel Wilkins, 32, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., and formerly of Pineville, Mo., departed this life May 27, 2012, in Sulphur Springs from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Joshua entered this life Dec. 3, 1979, in St. Charles, born to the union of Dwight Daniel and Kathleen Ann (Walker) Wilkins. He was raised in St. Charles and the Oregon, Ill., area. He graduated from Oregon High School in the class of 1998 and attended Northern Illinois University. He worked in the field of mechanical maintenance throughout his life. He moved to Pineville, Mo., in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight D. Wilkins; his grandfather, Robert E. Walker; and stepgrandmother, Lu Ann R. Wade.

Joshua is survived by his wife, Amber Munroe Wilkins; one son, Jordan Michael Wilkins; his mother, Kathleen Walker Wayt and her husband, Richard; four stepsons, Tyler Seth Munroe, Dakota James Munroe, Lawrence Steven Goodnight and Clayton Scott Goodnight; two brothers, Robert Wilkins and his fiancé, Dehlia, and Chase Wilkins and his wife, Jeri K; grandparents, James and Donna Wilkins and Patricia Walker; stepgrandfather, Richard Wade; godmother, Melissa L. Walker; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service in Anderson, Mo., will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Anderson. A second memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at the Oregon Church of God in Oregon, Ill. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo.
