Kristine Griffing Obituary
KEARNEY - Kristine "Kris" Griffing, 52, of Kearney died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 am. Thursday at Evangelical Free Church with the Rev. Brian Klein officiating. Burial will be at Kearney Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral home and one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born June 27, 1959, in Smith Center, Kan., to Bernard and Patricia (Devall) Griffing.
Survivors include her father of Kearney; daughter, Andrea Goral and her husband, Pawel, of Forney, Texas; sons, Beau and Christopher Griffing, both of Portland, Ore.; sisters, Jenny and David Dickson, both of Kearney; and granddaughters, Anna Goral and Gabrielle Griffing.
She graduated from Kearney High School and worked at Eaton Corp. as a production operator.
She was a member of the church where she was an Awanas leader. She was also involved with Habitat for Humanity.
She loved gardening, especially flowers, reading and canning and was very eco-friendly.
She was preceded in death by her mother.

What a terrible tragedy! Something gone so terribly wrong!!
I believe that Kris is in a much better place in heaven with Our Lord. I want you to know that you, the family of Kris, are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that the Lord will give you all the courage and the strength to face the days ahead. I pray that He will wrap His comforting Arms around you all. Peace be with you all at this difficult time.
