Sister Mary Roseanne, F.S.S.J. (Anna Mary Rapnicki)

1933 - 2016

Sister Mary Roseanne, F.S.S.J. (Anna Mary Rapnicki) passed away peacefully Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Convent in Hamburg, N.Y.

Born on May 20, 1933, to the late Jan and the late Julia (nee Maksimowicz) Rapnicki. Sister ministered in education for 40 years at St. Josaphat in Milwaukee and Holy Rosary of Pompeii in Kenosha.

Sister is survived by her sisters, Sister Mary Bertina, F.S.S.J., Sister Mary David, F.S.S.J., and her sister-in-law, Susan Rapnicki; also survived by nieces and nephews and their families.

Sister Roseanne is preceded in death by her older sister, Sister Adrienne, F.S.S.J.; and her brothers, late Casimir (late Eleanor), late Marion (late Julia), late Aloysius (late Dolores), and late John.

Funeral services will be held in the convent's chapel on Saturday, May 14, with interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph, 5229 South Park Avenue, Hamburg, NY 14075, in memory of Sister Roseanne.

Holy Rosary Parish will miss this loving, caring, and giving teacher. She was wonderful to work with and prayers are going out to Sr. Bertina and Sr. David as I know they miss her terribly. Rest in Peace Sr. Roseanne.
