Corryton, TN

Joe (J.L.) Curington, age 81, of Corryton, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 27, 2015. Attended Fairview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Gary Ellis; parents, Jackson and Annie Curington; sisters, Marie, Snookie, Eva, Macie; and brother, Alvin. Survived by loving wife of 61 years, Eula; sons and daughters-in-law, Aaron and Dorothy, Jackie and Cheryl, Randy and Melissa; daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnna and Dennis Burkhart, Patti and Mitchell Adams; brothers, Leon and Bobby; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and special friends, Ray Edwards, Anna Cantrell, and Knox County S.C.A.N.

Funeral services will be 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Bridges Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff LeBorg and Pastor Wayne Davis officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM, Wednesday at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment. Pallbearers: Joseph, Corey, and Allan Curington, Cody Williams, Tyler Quinn, Jordan Russell, and Ray Edwards. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999. www.bridgesfuneralhome.com.
