David Fujiu Obituary

David A. Fujiu, 60, of Vernon Hills, passed away on June 21 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born June 19, 1952 in Chicago and had lived in Vernon Hills for
the past 32 years. He was a 1970 graduate of Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, and also was a graduate of North Central College in Naperville, where he was very active with the cross country and track programs,

David received his Masters in Library Science from Rosary College, now Dominican Univeristy in River Forest. He spent a large part of his career in education at the Woodland School District in Gages Lake. He was a member and former Sunday school teacher at the Kingswood United Methodist Church in Buffalo Grove.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Fujiu and sons, Jon and Jeff, all of Vernon Hills; his mother Kiyoko Kasai Fujiu and sister, Jean M, Fujiu, both of Skokie and his brother, Jonathan (Kathy) Fujiu of Hoffman Estates. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor and brother, Timothy Fujiu.

Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m., June 25 at the Kingswood United Methodist Church, 401 W. Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove. Memorials to the Kingswood United Methodist Church would be appreciated
