Marvin Burnett Obituary

September 22, 1912 - November 14, 2015 Marvin passed away in his home in West Hills at the age of 103. Born and raised in the state of Washington, Marvin moved to Los Angeles to start practicing law after graduating from Harvard Law School. He was highly respected by his legal peers and clients alike, and continued his practice into his 80's. Marvin served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He and Maxine were married for 65 years until her death in 2007. He was extremely proud of Maxine and her art work, and of their daughter, (Carol) Margo. Marvin was a man of great intelligence, integrity, and joie de vivre. He never lost his marvelous sense of humor, which was appreciated by all who knew and loved him. He lived a long, happy and excellent life and will be greatly missed. All of his life, he derived enormous pleasure from reading, and later in life, with vision challenges, enjoyed listening to books on tape from the Braille Institute. If you wish to honor him, donations may be made to: Braille Institute 741 North Vermont Avenue Los Angeles, California 90029
