Edythe GAMERAL Obituary

GAMERAL, Edythe Born on November 2, 1915 in Pueblo, Colorado, Edythe Gameral died peacefully on October 18, 2010. She leaves two loving daughters, Ellen (Garth Bishop) and Judy and devoted sister Millie Fine. Edythe earned her BA from the University of Oklahoma, eventually moving to Los Angeles where, in 1940, she married her beloved Arthur. They established their roots, raised their children and remained together until Arthur's death in 1992. Edythe served her community by campaigning and raising funds for favorite candidates and causes. In 1964, she helped found Women For:, Los Angeles' first progressive political group, where she organized special events for candidates, education, social justice, choice and equality. This strong, intelligent, vibrant, beautiful, loving woman celebrated her life while devoting herself to family, to friends and to making the world a better place.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity or to support education, social justice and equality. Services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park on Monday, October 25th, at 1:00 p.m.
