What a wonderful memory to recall this amazing woman who profoundly affected my life. Gracie-Lynne was my voice teacher at Long Beach State in my junior and senior years, 1978-79. She was my safe-haven and taught me to fall in love with music, sing the music I truly loved, and accept myself. She had such an enthusiasm for life and gave me wings. I went on to have a career as a singer and voice teacher. Thank you, Grace-Lynne, for your inspiration and support.

Dear Ingle Family:
I couldn't find the words to express my feelings to you about Mrs Ingle but I found that the words I wrote before we went to her Tribute were right.
"We, Silvia, Angelica, Toño and I, will always remember her spontanous smile and her loving welcome.
I do remember an Angel turnes into a human being whose light us transmitted through her plain and clear communication to mankind which I always identified as a natural sing of love for those who had the opportunity to meet her.
Her spirit full of comprehension and help allowed her to understand each individual's world in order to guide her or him to enjoy full hapiness in profesional and personal life.
The Angel has let her human dresses to show her true nature and continue to illuminate as a Star the path of her beloved ones and mine, as she did it in the past, does it in the present and will do it in the future, since her thougts and words acquire greater strenght, deepness and meaning each time I remember them.

During a particularly difficult time in my life following a divorce, a friend recommended me to Grace Lynne for voice lessons. I always brought my (then) ten year old daughter along and she would play with Grace-Lynne's youngest while I took my lesson. I learned far more than voice from her. She was such an elegant person and had such deep abiding love for her husband and her girls. She inspired me and introduced me to Bill Hall who accepted me into his Chorale. I will forever be grateful to Grace-Lynne for her amazing and inspiring instructions in voice and life. She has been on my mind lately and when I checked Google found the sad news. She was an angel among us and I will never forget her. She was a very important person in my life.

Dear John and the girls, I was so sorry to hear the news about G. L. from John(my brother). Mom was truly grateful for your Mom and Dad's friendship and so so sad for your loss. Though we didn't see each other much over the years, you guys were always mentioned. I am so glad I ran into your Mom and Dad in the Houston's parking lot last year. As I was walking through the parking lot I hear Dianeie! I knew exactly who it was, your Mom, calling me from the other side of the parking lot. We had such a wonderful chat and caught up on all the
"scoop". I cheerished that day then and it brings a smile to my face just thinking about it now. You all are truly Blessed to have chosen such wonderful people for parents. Mom sends her love. Take care, Diane

Dear John: I received the letter today from your family. My heart was both sad but so grateful to have known Grace-Lynne and made to always feel through her and you that I too was a part of your family. She was so beautiful. I took out my scrapbook and found Christmas cards you have sent me...plus the current on my fridge...and the beautiful 50th Anniversary invite you sent me. I hope your health is better. Please email me when I can call and talk with you.
Love, Lil

An old soul at a young age, she only became more wise with time. This she did while retaining an appreciation for the simple things in life and a showing a love and appreciation for everyone whose path she crossed. I was very fortunate to have had her as a mother-in-law and friend for the past 16 years. Glenn Bandy

What a blessing Grace-Lynn was to all of you, as well as you were to her. I can't think of the last time I have heard of such a loving, united family. She obviously touched so many, yet made her greatest impact in the lives of her husband, daughters and grandchildren. It seems that you all carry on a part of her in your beauty, kindness and loving ways. May our good Lord continue to bless you through His love for you, and your love for each other.

Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

She was my voice teacher at Cal State Long Beach in the mid 70s. What a wonderful lady. I still use the vocal techniques she taught me. I also remember her story of her and Marni Nixon in an hours-long recording session of some Gesualdo pieces having to sing straight-tone "forever." Grueling. RIP beautiful lady. Prayers are with the family. Grace-Lynne was my very first voice teacher at Long Beach State, and I adored her. Saw her perform in the Sound of Music. She also introduced me to my husband of 29 yrs now.
She was a lovely lady inside and out.
