I first met Jim in 1984 at the County Data Processing Department and worked with him on various efforts over the years. By his work, Jim made significant contributions to the health and welfare of the people of Los Angeles County. He was a unique individual. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Palmersheim family.

I remember back to 1986 at DPD when Jim took the time to help me, a new and very green employee, on a project that had nothing to do with his responsibilities.

To Jim's family,
I am so saddened by the loss of my dear friend "Jim." Fond memories of the good times we shared in the late 60's and early 70's in Raleigh NC will forever be a part of my life. Jim was always such a kind and sweet man. I know he will be missed greatly by all who knew him. May God bless the family members he left and may you find peace and comfort in knowing what a wonderful man he was.
