Millicent YOUNG Obituary

YOUNG, Millicent Edith Goldstein Born Pittsburgh, PA in 1927, Millicent was a musical talent from an early age. She studied music at the Cleveland Institute of Music, becoming a concert pianist. In 1949 she married artist Joseph Young, they lived in Europe and for a year studied at the American Academy in Rome. They moved to Los Angeles, where Millicent taught music. Loving mother to her two daughters Leslie and Cecily, she later in life worked at Thrifty Corporation, Hadassah and Jewish Vocational Services. She loved helping people, and donated blood over 88 times. She is survived by her daughters, their husbands Pascal and John, grandchildren Julian, Alexa, and Mia, her sister Marcia, brother-in-law James Kaplan, nieces and nephew, Mark, Judy, and Rosalie. Services at Eden Memorial Park, Mission Hills, CA; Sunday Oct. 17, 11 a.m.
