Roland Gaskill Obituary

Gaskill, Roland Joseph
March 21, 1964 - October 5, 2010
Mourning the passing of Roland Joseph Gaskill, age 46.
Roland went home to be with his lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at 6:50 in the evening surrounded by family and loving friends. Born March 21, 1964, in Philadelphia, PA. In October of 1977 he moved to California with his mother, brother and sister, spending the next 33 years building a rich, full life and career with great friends and a loving family.
In 1983 Roland won one of the first compact COMPAQ computers which set the course his life would take in becoming one of the best in the field of computer tech support. Along the way he maintained life-long friendships both in his personal and professional life. Roland had a contagious laugh and sense of humor few could match. He was generous to a fault in so many ways - a true friend and man of integrity. But most of all, he was a man after God's own heart.
He is survived by his mother Sandra, brother Norman, sister Thea, and two beautiful nieces Amelia, and Francesca.
Roland's memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 700 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank, CA 91502.

I knew Roland for a short time from 1989 to 1991 when we worked at a company in Van Nuys, CA. He did indeed have a contagious laugh, and it came easily. He was a good guy to know.

My condolences to his family.

Roland has begun the journey that we will all one day make. May we meet and know and love one another again on that wonderful shore. So long for now my friend.
