Valdosta, GA- Arnold "Ray" Starling, Jr. passed away May 30, 2012. Memorial services will be held Wednesday June 6th at 11 AM at the Columbus Revival Center. Rev. Gene Garner will be officiating. Please send flowers to the church.
Mr. Starling leaves behind two daughters, Jamie Renee Bartley (Michael) and Jessica Lynn Warwick (John) of Columbus, GA; one son Rodney Tate Starling of Smiths Station, AL; ex-wife Robbie T. Starling of Smiths Station, AL; five Grandchildren Summer Bartley, Maxwell Grant Bartley, Lexi Holloman, Jason Raine Starling, and Jackson Reice Warwick; two brothers Kerry Lee Starling of Columbus, GA and Gregory Wayne Starling Starling of Columbus, GA; two sisters Beverly Elaine Coe (Kenny) of Columbus, GA and Christine Starling Ely (Don) of Columbus, GA; a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins; and special friend Steve Horne from Lake Park RV Campground, Valdosta, Ga.
Mr. Starling served 20 years in the US Air Force. He retired in 1994 as an E7 Tech SGT, a Veteran of the Gulf War and Desert Storm.
He loved to go RV'ing. He loved computer games, The O'Reilly Factor, CNN, Classic Rock and Roll, M.A.S.H., Star Trek, Dow Jones, and guitar playing.
He was a free bird.
