Loretta Laurie Miller Obituary

Loretta "Laurie" Miller Nealon, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Tuesday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She is the wife of Donald F. Nealon. The couple was has been married 51 years.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Robert P. and Rosemary K. Straub Miller, she was a graduate of South Scranton Central Catholic High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Heating People until her retirement in 2013. She was a former member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Scranton, and was the financial secretary for the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins Booster Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Dawn Marie Marchington and husband, Eric, Jefferson Twp.; and Shannon Nealon and fiancé, Carlos Perez, Scranton; a sister, Rosemary Shook and husband, Todd, Phalen, Calif.; a grandson, Eric Marchington Jr.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in the ICU at Geisinger Community Medical Center.
Per her wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Keystone Mission, 8 W. Olive St., Scranton, PA 18508; or a charity of the donor's choice.
