Lloyd Bernard Cadieux

1928 - 2016

ADRIAN - Lloyd Bernard Cadieux, age 88, of Adrian died on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at ProMedica Bixby Hospital in the presence of his loving family.

He was born on May 12, 1928, in Hillman, Mich., to John and Mary (DeLodge) Cadieux. Lloyd was united in marriage to Donna Florence Crawford on June 25, 1949, in Hillman, Mich. She survives.

Lloyd was employed as a plant superintendent at Bohn Aluminum in Adrian for many years before retiring in 1993. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Adrian. Lloyd enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and working on cars and other projects. He also loved to watch his grandchildren participate in sporting events.

In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by five children, Roy (Wendy) Cadieux of Adrian, Kent (Holly) Cadieux of Haslett, David (Stephanie) Cadieux of Waller, Texas; Bobbie Smart of Lewiston and Pennie (Keith) Wahoski of Posen; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four sisters, Pat (Jim) Kennard of Hillman, Ann (Dave) Kennard of Cadillac, Elaine Ableidinger of Hillman and Mary Lou Crawford of Adrian. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, William, Joseph and Raymond; and two sisters, Amelia and Edna.

The Funeral Liturgy for Lloyd will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Shaun Lowery as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Visitation will also take place Monday, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church where a family prayer service will be held at 10:45 a.m.
