Darrel, I always felt a bit of a special connect with you and Prudy. After graduating from Asbury in 1968 I taught Middle School Social Studies in the Shawnee Local school district for seven years. I have many happy memories from my time spent there in the Lima area. And I know you have many more than that thinking of Prudy. I'm sure you are missing her terribly even though you know you will see her again in Heaven someday. Darrell, you will remain in my prayers. Hope to see you at the Golden Grads Reunion next June.

So very sad to hear about Prudy's passing. I have fond memories of her reciting scripture to Stuart and I as we acted as teenagers typically did. She was always so sweet with a quiet yet powerful presence. She will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you/the Long family at this time. We are also grieving the death of my Dad on August 26.... Darrell and Prudy were college contemporaries (of my parents) who became Savannah neighbors and then lifelong friends to our family. Prudy will be fondly remembered by all of us. Her faith has now become sight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

To Prudy's dear family, our prayers are with your family at this time. Prudy impacted my life way back at the CMA church on S Elizabeth - Grade 7-8 - Mrs. Welty's Girl's SS class. Prudy was a warm gracious friend who made sure she sat by me every Sunday I came with my grandmother, Cora Stewart. Last year in October, I met Prudy after all these years and was able to share with her the influence her actions had on my life over all these years and in our ministry. I wanted to thank her personally. You know many of the lives she has affected for Christ, but I wanted you to know that she was affecting lives for Christ even in 7-8th grade. A very special lady with an amazing testimony. Our prayers are with you.
