Gabe Lyall Obituary
MALLORY, W.Va. — Joshua Gabriel "Gabe" Lyall, born March 18, 2009, at Logan, the four-year-old son of Joshua and Erina (Cline) Lyall of Mallory, went peacefully in the comfort of his parent's arms to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 9, 2013, after a seven-month battle with childhood cancer.
In four short years of life, Gabe touched the lives of many, infecting people with his smile and inspiring them with his strength. He was his mother's baby, his father's buddy, and everyone's hero.
Along with being a full time super hero, he enjoyed playing with his homies, Legos, sleepovers with his cousins, Star Wars, cool ranch Doritos and Dr. Pepper.
He was the grandson of Gary and Linda Cline of Davin, Opal and Donnie Preston of Charlottesville, Va., and Keith and Cathy Lyall of Davin; the great-grandson of Irene Paynter of Davin, Betty Lyall of Logan, and Sarah Mitchem of Robinette; his uncles and aunts, Chris and Denise Cline of Christiansburg, Va., Jake and Whitney Lyall of Peach Creek, and Joseph Lyall of Mallory; and his cousins, Madison and Evan Cline of Christiansburg, Va. and Cody Green of Robinette; along with a host of other great-aunts and great-uncles, friends, and family who are left to cherish his memory.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at St. Edmund Catholic Church at Man with Father Yesu Golla and Rev. Donald Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where a Rosary service will begin at 8:30 p.m.
Pall bearers will be Heroes4Higher. Honorary pall bearers will be Jake and Joe Lyall, Chris Cline, and Cody Green.

You are in my prayers at the Homegoing of this precious little one. May the LORD be ever about you to comfort, strengthen and sustain you all in days to come. What comfort to know he is with the LORD. I work for Juvenile Services and was given Gabe's name to pray for you all. I have walked this valley before, twice, with my twin granddaughters. Macy & Carly were born 7/25/06. Macy died 8/1/06; Carly died 8/16/06. They were preemies; weighed 3.5 lbs. each, but had hydrops fetalis and GOD took them HOME. No greater place for them to be. Bless you all.

Gabe stole my heart when I photographed him at the Freedom Festival. His little voice and beautiful eyes just stole my heart. Wish there was something I could say to take away the pain you're feeling, but know that the angels are smiling with their super hero who will protect the heavens & watch over us all! I didn't get the honor of meeting this amazing little boy but being from Logan I heard about and followed his story. He was in my daily prayers and I was heart broken to hear of his passing, our little superhero. I am so happy that I was able to send him cards. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Josh and Erin, Im so sorry for your loss. Gabe was such a gorgeous little boy. He would brighten my mornings when he came into the post office. I cant imagne the pain you feel. My heart just keeps breaking for you. We had a family friend pass away just a few months ago. Barney was his home health nurse as well and he told him to watch out for Gabe so I know he has a wonderful person looking after him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. He was an amazing little man!!!!!!
