Ruth Sinclair Obituary
Ruth Sinclair, a lifelong resident of Brewster, NY, died peacefully on Friday July 15, 2016 at her home. She was 84 years old.
Ruth was born on July 7, 1932 in Mt. Kisco, NY, daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Watts) Timms. Mrs. Sinclair graduated from Brewster Central Schools in 1950 and received her bachelor's degree in 1982 from Western Connecticut State University.
On September 2, 1951 she married Alexander J. Sinclair in Brewster, NY. He predeceased his wife on June 10, 2011.
Ruth was the head of the Brewster Central School Transportation for 23 years before she retired. She was a parishioner of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Brewster, NY.
Mrs. Sinclair is survived by her five children; Debra (Bruce) Pifer, Michael T. (Marge) Sinclair, Gary C. Sinclair, Alexander (Stacey) Sinclair and Thomas (Gail) Sinclair, her 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Lori Dixon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 20, 2016 at 11am at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Brewster, NY. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery, Brewster, NY. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 19, 2016 from 4pm-8pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 34 Prospect Street, Brewster, NY and/or a charity of one's choice.
