Taffler, Jonathan

Jonathan Taffler, 54, of Wilton, CT passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Jon was born October 27, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from Columbia University. He was the founder and president of Programmed Solutions and more recently president and co-founder of Spitfire Management.

Jon was a force of nature, he was a pilot, a flight instructor, avid sportsman, and he loved to travel. Jon developed software; he possessed a photographic memory, and had an insatiable curiosity about the world. He found wonder in every day and his enthusiasm for life was palpable.

Jon is survived by his loving daughters, Brooke and Lindsay; his parents, Sy and Elaine; sister, Robin and husband Dick Dougherty; and nephew, Casey Dougherty. Jon is also survived by Randi Shamitz, his former wife and loving mother to their children.

Jon's life will be celebrated Thursday, September 19, 1:00-3:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
