Joseph Chery Obituary
Joseph Chery, age 70, of West Nyack passed away on Friday, Dec. 26th, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Chery was born in Petit-Goave, Haiti and was the 2nd of 3 children born to Marie Marguerite Duclos and Rabjeau Dervil Chery.
He met his wife, Marie Michele Chery in 1967. They were married for 43 years. Mr. Chery had a passion for music and was a man of impeccable style.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Chery is survived by daughters, Marie, Yemithsou & Michele; a brother, Carlos Chery; a sister, Soeur Marie Marguerite and 4 grandchildren, Taelo, Theko, Lesedi & Gavin.
Family will receive visitors on Friday, January 2nd from 6-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., New City.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 10am on Saturday, January 3rd at Saint Joseph Parish, 245 North Main Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Our Pouchou will for ever remain in our hearts !! he will be missed dearly !!!
No greater dancer or dresser could surpass his style and charisma. He loved his wife passionately they truly complimented each other. His daughters were his pride and joy and proud they have made him. But his heart belonged to his grand boys. May your soul rest in paradise until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hands.
