Lenny

Leonard J. Rosa Sr., 76, resident of Southport North Carolina passed away suddenly on October 17, 2015.

Lenny was born and raised in "Silver Lake", West Harrison, NY and was predeceased by both parents, Leo and Adele Rosa.

He Married the Love of his Life, Kathleen (Harrington) Rosa on June 19, 1965 and shared his undying love, friendship and devotion with her for over 50 years.

Lenny retired as a Patrolman after 20 years of devoted service from the Harrison Police Department. In addition to his police service Lenny also served his country as a member of the Air Force Air National Guard.

Lenny and Kathy also owned and operated the famous Lenny's Hot Dogs, where they developed numerous relationships over 30 years of serving his famous chili.

Lenny will forever be remembered by his devoted wife Kathleen, his two children, Lenny Jr. (Andrea) and Maureen (Rick), his four treasured grandchildren, Daria, Kiara, Leo and Logan Rosa, his loving sisters MaryLou Harris (Alex) of Illinois and Irene Carpenter (David) of Texas, several nieces and nephews, and countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him.

He loved traveling on road trips with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, building model wooden planes and completing jig saw puzzles.

Lenny touched the lives of many people with his warm smile, quick wit, marvelous sense of humor and for having a generous soul. He was full of wisdom that he imparted to all who knew him.

Rest in peace, until we meet again we will keep and protect your memory. "To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die".
