Jasper Parrott Obituary

PARROTT, JASPER C. "J.C.," 85, of St. Matthews, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Hosparus Inpatient Unit downtown.

He was born August 23, 1925 in Woodlawn, KY to the late Ezra Parrott and Della Catherine Crume Parrott. He was a retired Assembler with Container Corporation of America with over 34 years of service. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and was an Army Air Corp Veteran having served during World War II. He was an avid rabbit hunter, was a farmer and enjoyed gardening.

He is preceded in death his brother Bob Parrott; sister, Rachel Ann Burns and a grandson, Shawn Parrott.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret Lvia (Burba) Parrott; three sons, Charlie R. (Joella), Joseph Dennis (Barbara) and David (Darlene) Parrott; three daughters, Vonnie Hood (Jimmy), Alois Miller (Mike) and Karen Davis (Tim); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Catherine Isham and Margie Hardin and a brother, Ezra "Bunt" (Florence) Parrott.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Monday, December 13, 2010 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3345 Lexington Road with entombment to follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman Bros. Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road.
