Dorothy Sinkhorn Obituary

SINKHORN, DOROTHY A. HEINTZMAN, 97, was freed from her body and reunited with her Creator and family members on Sunday, June 30, 2013.

She was born January 10, 1916, the daughter of Joseph Victor and Mary Magdalen Heintzman.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William N. Sinkhorn, Jr.; son, William Sinkhorn III; brothers, Joseph, Sylvester, Louis, Edward, Alphonse, Michael and John Heintzman; and sisters, Agnes Heintzman (Sr. Justina, OSU), Alberta Bowling and Catherine App.

She is survived by her sister, Angela Ruhl; children, Bonnie Scrogham, Michael (Linda), Mary and Mark (Donna) Sinkhorn; grandchildren, Marilyn Ruiz-Corvo, Matt Scrogham, Brian and Keith Sinkhorn, and Derek and Lindsay Reese; five great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A devout Catholic, Dorothy was a long time member of Guardian Angels Parish and more recently, St. Bernard.

Her Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7500 Tangelo Drive with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.

Memorial donations may be made to Hosparus or Spina Bifida Society, Louisville.
