My most beloved Aunt Ethel - you were the rock in so many ways for our at-times fragile family. You unflinchingly gave me such unconditional support in all I wanted to accomplish and experience in life. You had a spirit that kept you decades younger than you were and one that was strong enough to deal with both my brother and I! I have always thought of you over the years and you have shaped me with your eternal kindness, humor, spunk and support. I will be eternally grateful to you for more than you know. Love you...

We have the fondest memories of "our" dear Aunt Ethel. Ethel was my mother-in-law Edith Henry's aunt by marriage, but all of us extended relatives considered her to be "our" aunt. I began visiting Ethel 3 or 4 times a year in 1990 when I was traveling to New Albany, IN for business. We developed a wonderful friendship and I cherished the time I spent with her. She was always quick with a story, a compliment, as well as some wise words. I saw her last in person about 6 years ago but until recently kept in touch by phone and letter. I know that Ethel loved her family and always felt blessed by the love her family showed her. I will miss her dearly, but I know that Ethel will be a wonderful addition to heaven.

Dearest Aunt Ethel, you were my great aunt and my memories of you go back over 50 years. You were a fairy godmother to so many people - family, friends, strangers - and you offered not only material gifts but unconditional love - the greatest gift of all. My family and I - in Georgia, New York, Michigan and California - will miss you and remember you forever.

Dearest Ethel, your family met so much to mine. I remember once when I was visiting my Grandparents, Gus and Ada Liebert, you stopped by and brought my brother, Raymond Allen, and me a ball to play with. My Grandmother, Ada Mae Liebert, always considered you one of her best friends. I will always remember your warm smile and your kind heart. Love and sympathy to all of your family.

I remember shopping at Silverman's when I was a child and as an adult. Miss Ethel was always there to help, she introduced me to the wonderful world of Hushpuppies, they would not wear out no matter how hard I tried. I'm 57 yrs old and that is one of my fondest memories from childhood. We always knew when we went to Silvermans we were getting something nice. May God Bless and Keep you all in His Loving Care in your time of need.

Ethel was very special to me! Ethel took care of me when I was a little girl and she loved me so very much! I would always go over to her house when she lived in Highland Park and she would bath me,feed me and love and nuture me. Ethel and Mac were like my mom and dad when I was only five years old. I loved spending time with the two of them. I also remember Aunt Rae her sister, she would never forget my birthdays and Christmas. I will always remember the very special person that Ethel was and I will keep her very close to my heart. I loved her very much !! Ethel took such good care of me at such a very young age and I will always keep those memories close to my heart!
I will never forget you Ethel and I loved you very much!
