Edward M. Carpentier
of Dracut, St. Francis Church member; 88

DRACUT -- Edward M. Carpentier, the beloved husband of the late M. Yvonne (Martineau) Carpentier, a Dracut resident, passed away Friday January 27, 2012, at a local healthcare facility. He was 88.

Born on July 16, 1923, he was the son of the late Henry D. and Rose Helen (Hebert) Carpentier.

Ed graduated from Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Grammar School and St. Joseph High School. He was employed for 33 years at DJ Reardon Distributors, retiring in 1986.

Ed was a member of Teamsters Union Local 49.

He was a former communicant of St. Louis de France Parish, where he served as a part time usher and currently St. Francis Parish.

Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Carpentier of Dracut; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard P. and Joanna Carpentier of Westford; two grandchildren, Richard Carpentier, Jr. and his wife, Melissa, and Kelly Carpentier; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Rose Martineau of Dracut, Paul and Theresa Martineau of Dracut, Al Martineau and his companion, Lee Roberge of Mont Vernon, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

CARPENTIER -- Relatives and friends may call at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, from 2 until 6 PM on Sunday. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9:00 AM in St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
