HUDSON, NH -- Roland W. Tardiff, 63, died unexpectedly Friday, June 16th, at Tufts New England Medical Center, in Boston with his family by his side.

Roland was born in Lowell, MA, on August 23, 1953, a son of the late Irene C. (Robert) and Raymond J. Tardiff. He was educated in Dracut and a graduate of Dracut High School.

For 30 years, Roland worked as a maintenance supervisor for Joan Fabric's in Lowell and more recently as a building maintenance supervisor for WNA in Chelmsford, where he was a hardworking and dedicated employee.

Roland was a former member of the local Lodge of Elks, as well as a member of both Pelham Fish and Game and the Tyngsboro Sportsman Club. He was an avid hunter and loved working outside in his yard. Whenever something needed to be fixed, Roland was your man - he could fix almost anything. He will always be remembered for his love of his Kubota, red wine, old Western movies, the Three Stooges, his favorite movie "It's A Wonderful Life" and riding around in his beat-up Red Truck. He was also a New England Patriots and Boston Bruins Fan.

Roland will be deeply missed by his two children, Christina McGaffigan and her husband Mike of Dracut and Adam Tardiff and his wife Amanda of Hudson, NH; his fiancé, Donna Prins of Hudson, NH; two grandchildren, Reese McGaffigan and Alanna Tardiff; sister, Denise Berube and her husband Bob of Brookline, NH; nieces, Selene and Lindsey Berube of Brookline, NH and Jeannine Fleegle and her husband Ralph of PA; as well as his beloved cat, Brady.

He was predeceased by his brother, Robert G. Tardiff.

TARDIFF -- Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on TUESDAY, June 20th, from 4 - 8 p.m., at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. His funeral service will take place on WEDNESDAY, June 21st, at 11 a.m., in the St. Joseph's Cemetery Chapel.
