Dale Williams Obituary

Dale E. Williams, Sr. Lansing Mr. Williams, age 71, formerly of Bay City, died Saturday April 24, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dale was born in Kawkawlin on May 19, 1938 to the late Clifford and Helen (Young) Williams. He married the former Joyce K. McLeod on November 28, 1956. Dale loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends, camping and wintering in Florida. Mr. Williams is survived by his 3 children, Kimberly Strozeski, Dale (Diana) Williams Jr. of Troy and Jeffery (Maria) Williams of Lansing. Also surviving are 3 loving grandchildren, Connor, Kaleigh and Logan; 3 brothers, Clifford (Wave), Howard (Betty), Alwood; sister, Helen (Ken) Hannah; brother-in-law, James Pierce; many nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Snickers, Precious, Cheyanne, and Tigger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce in 2007; brother, Ken; sister, Elise Roscoe; and sister-in-law, Lovila Pierce. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday April 29, 2010 at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, Bay City. Pastor Oscar Pate will officiate with burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery, Bay City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday April 28, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Our Savior Lutheran Church Building Fund, Lansing, Michigan.
