Eleanor Bishop Obituary

Eleanor Charland Bishop Lansing Age 86, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Eleanor was born July 12, 1924 in Detroit, MI. She was an Account Executive with the State of Michigan, Dept. Of Transportation for over 33 years. After retirement, she loved to travel and dance to keep herself active. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald G. Charland and Robert Bishop and a sister, Dorothy Glenn. Surviving are her children, Thomas (Judy) Charland, Gerald Charland and Marilyn (Marshall Wehr) Brown; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Stephenson; brother, Miles (Irene) Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at St. David's Episcopal Church, 1519 Elmwood Rd. Lansing. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am until service time at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. David's in memory of Eleanor. Friends may sign the online guest book at www.palmerbush.com.
