J. Thornburg Obituary

J. Ann (Warhurst) Thornburg Ann Thornburg, age 69, formerly of Dimondale, died January 29, 2010 in Lansing. She was born September 22, 1940 to Clarence and Margaret Warhurst in West Branch. Ann lived in the Lansing area most of her life; she graduated from Saginaw High School in 1958, attended MSU, Lansing Business University and Lansing Community College. Ann retired from Ingham Regional Medical Center as a respiratory therapist in 2003. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald L. Thornburg in 2006 and her parents. Ann is survived by Don's Children, James and Lisa Thornburg, Lori Foley, Tamara and Ed Vomastek, Sandra and Sean Dunn; eight grandchildren and several cousins. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church of Dimondale, 162 N. Bridge St., Dimondale. In lieu of floral tributes, those desiring may direct memorials to her church.

I waited tables at the Bridgeport Country Club with Ann and graduated with her from Saginaw High in 1958. I hold many fond memories with Ann including ice skating on the Cass River with "the Bridgeport group." My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
