Josephine Moore Obituary

Josephine Marie Corbin Bray Moore Lansing Josephine Marie Corbin Bray Moore died on Thursday, April 15, 2010. She was born August 31, 1915, in Graettinger, Iowa, to James and Ethel (Nilson) Corbin. She was followed in birth by Robert, Rolland, Nelcie, Macie, Ruth and Richard. Ruth Wood of Lansing is her only surviving sibling. The Corbin family moved to Mason, MI, in 1920. Jo lived in Mason until 2005 when she moved into Grandhaven Living Center in Lansing. Her first husband, Dee L. Bray, died in 1972, and her second husband, Kenneth H. Moore, in 2004. She and Dee owned and operated the Mason Elevator Co. She has two children, Nancy Corbin Bray (Walter Leslie Palesch) of Ann Arbor and William Corbin Bray (Jamie Simons Bray) of Lansing; and two step-children, Dr. Thomas K. Moore (Sheila Eddington Moore) and Karen Sue Viele (David C. Viele), all of Lansing. She has twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jo was a member of the First Mason Methodist Church for 80 years, having joined in 1930. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Ash, Mason, MI with the Rev. Dwayne Bagley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2010. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 201 E. Ash, Mason, MI 48854. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason, MI. On-line condolences at www.gorslineruncimanmason.com
