I knew Ray for only a short time but we certainly shared some laughes. Our thing was that we bantered back and forth by calling each other names of flowers. The last Sunday before his passing I wrote on his name board in his room: I prefer to be called "Flower Petunia Ray." He got such a chuckle over that because he couldn't get up to change it. I'll miss you "daisy."

What can I say about my dad?? He taught me how to dance by having me stand on his feet and he would dance and I learned the steps that way!! He was a giving man and though this has been a year of great losses for both families (my step mama Midge) and dad so close together, there is comfort in knowing they are together, they never were apart in life it didn't surprise me they went so close together...they missed each other..we should all be so fortunte to find in this lifetime someone we can truly say we want to be with in all ways...I miss both of them their laughter, their advice (I called for that alot) but mostly I just miss them as the human beings God made them. Rest in peace dad, don't worry about your babygirl, I'll be in good hands with John.
You fought the good fight and you can rest now. You are gone but never forgotten....I can only pray they have push broom guitars in Heaven! I LOVE YOU

He was my Papa Ray. I a comforted as I know he is with my Mama Midge. No more pain, no more grief for either. I was so blessed to have had my Papa and my 2 moms in my life. The caring, the laughter shall always be with me. They are both missed but never forgotten...

I wish to express my condolences to all of Ray's family. I am unable to attend the funeral as we have a death in our family with the funeral on Friday also. I am also sorry to hear about Midge. Time sometimes separates. My heart goes out to the family, and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
