Melody was a squared away class act. I worked for Melody for just a short time at DHS but we always kept in touch. She was a mentor who encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and broaden my professional horizons. With Melody as my support, I was able to do just that. Thank you Melody for your time, your wisdom, your friendship and your spunk! I will cherish your memory and your spirit.

I knew Melody from the Ingham County DHS Office. She was patient and kind, funny and bright. The world is better for her having been here. My condolences to her family.

It has taken me a long time to be able to just say, Melody was the best friend someone could have. I miss her already. We shared so many things over the years, Lions games, weddings, babies, grandkids, my gifts from her trips. I will forever love her and miss her, it is so hard to believe the world has lost her. Rob thinking of how much she loved you, you were the light of her life. I wore my Kimono she brought me home from Korea the other night just to feel close to her. I know how much I hurt, so I can imagine yours. Please know that I am thinking of all of you. You know where and how to find me. Love ya all

When I think of Melody her smiling face comes to mind. She taught me how to be dignified and strong while fighting a difficult illness. I will cherish all the visits and talks we had together. She loved Rob, Mary, Kristy and the grand children. She loved telling stories about her family and was proud of every one. I will miss her but will never forget her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Mel played on our golf league a few years ago at Branson Bay. She was very kind. We are so sorry to hear about her passing.

Dear Rob and family,
I was sad to hear about Melody. So glad we got to see her at the last Ingham county lunch get-together last summer. She's always a happy, positive, person, and I know she put up a long, brave battle with an awful disease. My prayers are with all of you.

I had the pleasure to work for Melody for many years before she left Ingham DHS for Central Office. She was amazing to work and we kept in touch periodically while she was making her mark in Central Office. I loved to sit in her office and listen to her stories about Rob, Rob's mother and the girls. I can't image what these past months must have been like for Rob and her whole family. Dear Rob and Family. I knew both of you from Ingham DSS. I bumped into you both at Christmas time, at the book store in the Meridian Mall. You were both talking about babysitting the grandkids. Melody was always nice and sweet even if life at work was more than crazy. She was so very excited to have her first grandchild and talked of him always. I worked with Melody in Ingham County DHS and then again in Central Office.
So sorry for your loss but now believe her pain and suffering are over. God Bless.
