Sharon Johnson Obituary

Sharon K. Johnson COLUMBUS, NE-An open house for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Ron's home. (3555 26th Avenue). Sharon K. Johnson, 74, left us on May 23, 2016, at her home in Columbus. We have lost our precious wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She was our rock and we lovingly referred to her as the Boss of us. She will be greatly missed. Sharon K. Johnson was born on Jan. 17, 1942, in Atlantic, Iowa, to Hans and Gladys (Cornell) Rasmussen. Sharon was a wildlife enthusiast and memorials may be directed to the Wildlife Center of Virginia at www.wildlifecenter.org. She is survived by: her husband, Ron Johnson of Columbus, NE; daughter, Shelly (Tom) Harris of Lubbock, Texas; daughter-in-law, Becky Steffens of Atlantic, IA; nieces:, Tara (Scott) Scroggin of Omaha, NE, Tyann Ward of Des Moines, IA; nephew, Trevin (Peggy) Ward of Ames, IA; stepchildren, Loni (Doug) Denne of Austin, Texas, Jeff (Denise) Johnson of Atlantic, IA, Patrice Johnson of Mason City, IA; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
