Max Perales

Max Perales SLATON- Max B. Perales, 84, of Slaton, Texas passed away April 11, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Services for Max will be 10 a.m. today, April 15, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 630 S. 4th St. in Slaton, with Father Martin Pina officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton, Texas under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A rosary will be held Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Max was born Feb. 22, 1929 in Mercedes, Texas to Benito and Dolores Perales. He married the love of his life, Pauline Rodriguez, on March 15, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas. Together they recently celebrated their 63rd anniversary. He worked from Santa Fe Railroad until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, working on his ranch, and singing. Max is survived by his wife, Pauline; his sons, Johnny (Mary), Max Jr. (Silvia), Freddie (Rosa), Carlos, and Larry (JoAnn) all from Slaton; his daughters, Alicia Perales and Martha (Ernest) Lopez both of Lubbock; 32 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Antonio Perales, Mary Soliz both of Slaton, and Pabla Maldonado of Round Rock. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren.
