Those of us who shared 57th Street with your mom and dad for all these years were truly blessed. Their presence added spark and joy to our neighborhood! Your dad kept everything outside in pristine condition, and your mom was a spark of vitality. She always had a big smile for everyone she met. We are sadden to hear Gene has gone on, but know she is delighted to be reunited with Mel. She was a GRAND Lady and will be missed by all who knew her. May God give each of you strength and comfort to get through this difficult time. In His love, Jay & Joyce

Scott and Ron, I am so sorry for your lose. Your mother was one of the kindest people I have ever known. Even in her darkest hours, I never spoke to her without cheerfulness in her voice. I know you will miss her as will I. Remember, for every sunset on earth, there is a sunrise in heaven.

It is sad to say good-bye. I will miss my friend. I will miss the wave and smile she greeted me with each time I came to the door. I cry and smile as I think of her now. Gene taught me to see the good in this world while also remaining practical.

I met Gene through Ron. Both have proven to be kind and loyal through their acceptance of me as part of the family.

Thank you, Gene. I love you. I look forward to doing cartwheels across fields of brightly colored wildflowers with you in Heaven one day.

Peace be with you all.
