I was so very saddened to learn of Jack's death. He and I worked together at KTRE in Lufkin 25 yrs ago. We had lost touch but I thought of him often and would love to have seen him again. He was incredibly bright, inciteful, and a real lover of life. I've never forgotten his laughing eyes and wonderful smile. Prayers and thoughts are sent your way.

Betty,
Through the years I have thought of you, Jack and Rusty many times. Each time it put a smile on my face and a warmth in my heart to know such wonderful people. They always had the funniest stories to share. I just want to echo what Donna Gail Lynn has so eloquently related. My heart and prayers go out to you and yours at this time. Love you, Patti Holcombe-Allen

Betty,
Please know that all of us "kids" will be praying for you in the days & weeks to come. You are so special to all of us & we love you more than words could ever express. You always opened your home, your heart & your arms to all of us.
You gave all of us two "great blessings" in Jack & Rusty. The fact that they were so loved & respected are a reflection of your influence in their lives. They were as proud of you as were of them.
Thanks to you we will all have a lifetime of memories to cherish.

Betty -
We are so sorry for your loss. and for not being able to be there. There are so many different sides to Jack. We never would have made it in Texas if we didn't meet him when we did. He taught us so much. Lessons of simple respect for everyone we met, and a smile and a laugh always makes everyone feel good, last but not least BAMA is the best college team in the nation. If help was needed, even immediately, he was there. Our trips to the dog track in LaMarque allowed both of us to buy our houses on the west side of Houston. We will always love Jack and always pray for you. If you need anything down here in Houston, don't hesitate to call. We love you too. God bless. Larry and Jean

I am so sorry to hear this news about Jack. I remember lots of good times we had during our high school years - laughing and cutting up together. My mom and dad, Lenwood & Dorothy, called me last night to tell me the news. My deepest sympathy goes out to you.

This photo is nearly 30 years old. It is hard to believe we were once so young and thin. I just had to share this photo with friends. The time has just flown.  I am so glad to have known Jack for all that time.  He was such a treasure.

I am so sorry for your great loss. I have known Jack for just under 30 years. If laughter extends one's life, Jack added several years to mine. He will be greatly missed. I will always love him.
