Marlene Lombardi Obituary

MARLENE LOMBARDI July 28, 2010, Las Vegas lost a local well known talent of the entertainment business. Marlene Iesue Lombardi, born Aug. 16, 1958, the voice of the famous phrase "do you really want to know?" passed away peacefully in her hometown of Erie, Pa., following a courageous battle with cancer. Marlene was known for her work in radio, television appearances, and columns published in magazines such as Las Vegas Woman. Marlene especially enjoyed her live shows at the Sunset Station Casino, where she was able to interact one-on-one with those who came to see her. She made many friends connected to her shows, and predictions of famous celebrities, thus becoming known as "the psychic to the stars." Marlene helped numerous people cope with all aspects of their lives. She will be sadly missed for her love of people, concern for those in need of her "special gift," and her wonderful sense of humor; but mostly for the happiness and comfort she brought to all who knew her. We encourage anyone who knew Marlene, and would like to share their experiences with her, to do so at Face Book, titled, In Loving Memory of Marlene Lombardi. A memorial service was held at the Dusckas Funeral Home in Erie, Pa.

Wow! Marlene your were very special! I remember my first reading with you so many years ago in LV. You said you did not usually meet people in their hotel but you were told you needed to speak with me. You prepared me for what was to come. I enjoyed speaking with you after that on the phone. You will be missed! R.I.P XO Donna

Marlene, Marlene, Marlene----- you left us way too soon. When Martha & I arrived in Nevada in 2000, you were at our door within 2 hours offering fresh-baked bicsotti. You let us know early on about your psychic abilities, but kept it very low key. Over time, as you got to know us, and we got to know and trust you, you shared many insights about us and our family members that were so right-on it was scary. I admit, as a psychotherapist I was a skeptic at first, but once I experienced your gift, I quickly became a believer. The shows Martha & I attended at Stations were awesome, and your ability to help so many was truly amazing to watch.

On top of your unique talent and giving nature, you were a trusted friend that we treasured. The private times you spent with us were always special. While Martha and I are devastated by the loss of you and your presence in our lives, I know you will speak to us now that you are in a different and hopefully peaceful place for you. We think of you every day, and as with the many who have known you and your gifts and generosity, you are one who is truly missed and will not be forgotton..

With heartfelt Love,

Russ

"Hey, I've got a half hour. Need help with those boxes?" That's how our ten year friendship started. I quickly learned that Marlene's opening salvo was a great representation of her true self. Always there to help. We enjoyed many laughs and explored crazy plans (my husband becoming a stand up comic and a calendar of the oh-so-revealed women of our neighborhood as two of the most interesting!) but we also spoke seriously. She kept her boundaries in place and respected all to whom she spoke. We so appreciated being at all of her meetings at Stations -- wished those could have gone on. I so appreciated her as a friend and miss her a lot. Martha, Henderson, NV

Dear Marlene, only one time we met face to face. YOu knew me better than I knew myself and my life. I will always remember you, what you said to me, what you meant to me, and how you changed my life. May God bless you in his heaven of freedom.

Marlene, I will always remember my visit with you in Vegas, our chats on the phone thereafter and your kindness and great sense of humor. You words were the catalyst in getting me moving in the right direction and I'm grateful to have been able to cross paths with you in this lifetime. God bless you...Sheila
