Barbara Everts Obituary

Barbara J. Everts
June 26, 1941 - October 5, 2016
Kathleen, GA- On the morning of Wednesday, October 5, 2016, Barbara Everts was called to heaven to join her beloved husband, John R. Everts. She was 75 years old.
Barbara was born on June 26, 1941 in Moline, Illinois to the late Francis and Margaret Taylor Goodness. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Schenectady, New York and then to Hollywood, Florida where she graduated from Miramar High School.
Barbara was a wonderful homemaker with many interests that kept her busy. She enjoyed bowling and making ceramics, but above all, she was an excellent mother to her three children and always took care of her family. When the children were a bit older, Barbara and her family moved to the Warner Robins area where she worked for the BX at Robins Air Force Base. St. Patrick Catholic Church was her church home.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Dennis Blackburn (Emily Marrero) of Austin, Texas, and Deborah Barlow (Thomas Erla) and David Blackburn (Andi), both of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Robert, Corie, and Brian Van Epps, and Autumn and Krista Blackburn; step-grandchildren, Mathew Marrero and Omar and Adele Gonzalez; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Peggy Duda (Mark) of Colorado and Patricia Oakerson of Georgia.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 9th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 10th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. After the service, Barbara will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Please go to www.mcculloughfh.com to sign the Online Registry for the family. McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with Mrs. Everts' arrangements.

I've known Mrs. Everts for years. Although we were far apart we still managed to exchange Christmas cards each year. I will miss you Barb. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My sympathy to the family. I worked with Barbara a number of years. When John came around you could see the love between them. Rest peaceful Barbara.

Dear family, I was a friend of Barbara's at Dialysis. She was the first person to say hi to me when I started five years ago. She made me laugh and I just loved her so much. I am so sorry for your loss, she will be dearly missed. Heaven gained an angel even though I lost a very wonderful friend. I pray your hearts will be comforted knowing just how much she was loved.
