She was born in Somerville on Jan. 4, 1915, the daughter of Herbert and Etta Leola (French) Brann.
Marion attended Somerville schools where she received her education. She was employed by Statler Tissue in Augusta for many years. Following her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, crocheting, knitting, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husbands, George Kendrick Light, who passed away in 1942, and Phillip F. Brann, who passed away in 1979; her daughter, Barbara Crummett; a brother, Omer Brann; a sister, Inez Brann; and a long-time friend, Emma Merit.
Marion will be sadly missed by her two sons, Carlton W. Light, and wife Kathryn of Gardiner, and Harold K. Light and wife Angie of Farmingdale; two sisters, Stella Hallis, of South Weymouth, Mass., and Wanda Brann of Pacifica, Calif.; two brothers, Cecil Brann, of Somerville, and Leon Emery and wife Faye of Windsor; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Maine Veterans Home and Hospice for the kindness and care given during her long illness.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, at Sand Hill Cemetery in Somerville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, Manchester N.H. Office, 249 Canal St., Manchester, NH 03101.

We have known Marion and her family for many years. Marion was a good mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a good friend; we are going to miss her. We extend our deepest sympathy to Harold & Angie, Carlton & Kay, and to all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
