Ed was a very kind and thoughtful man. He loved his family and his camp at Austin Pond, where he lived the first six years of his life.
He ran sporting camps at Austin Pond and Wyman Lake for many years. He also worked for Quimby Veneer Mill in Bingham and retired from Sheridan Construction. Following retirement, he worked as a carpenter for his nephew, Mike Foster.
Ed was predeceased by his parents; a brother, George; his twin brother, Edwin; and sisters Georgianna Bean and Helen Steward.
He is survived by his son, John E. Foster, and Lurie Beane of Moscow; his daughter, Heidi (Foster) Atwood, and her husband, Jolly, of Embden; his grandchildren, Dustin and Amber Beane, Tucker, Bailey and Jacob Atwood; a great-grandson, Levi Russell-Beane; a sister, Pauline "Polly" (Foster) Willer, of Bingham; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Union Cemetery in Moscow, with the Rev. Nathan T. Richards officiating.
Cremation and service arrangements are by Giberson Funeral Home, 18 River St., Bingham.

My deepest sympathy to John and Heidi they knew him as Dad. I called him Uncle Ed and gave him and my father both fathers day gifts when i was growing up.
